MARY, ALEX & THO. McCANN to WILLIAM McCANN ~ 1808 ~ A deed for 200 acres on the waters of Trammel Creek. Deed Book 5 ~ pages 223-224-225-226
This Indenture made this twelfth day of August in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred & eight between Mary McCann, Thomas McCann & Alexander McCann, all of Guilford County & State of North Carolina of the One part & William McCann of Sumner County & State of Tennessee of the Other part, witnesseth that the said Mary, Alexander and Thomas McCann for & in consideration of the Sum of three Dollars to them in hand paid at or before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt which the do hereby Acknowledged have bargained & sold & by these presents doth bargain Sell & confirm unto the said William McCann his heirs & assigns forever each of our undivided part of a tract of land of two hundred Acres, being the Estate of the late Robert McCann, deceased. We as lawful heirs to the said Estate do by these presents bargain & Sell unto the Said William McCann, his heirs and Assigns each of Our undivided parts of Said two hundred Acres of land lying on the Waters of Trammels Creek in the County of Sumner & state of Tennessee which may be more fully seen by having reference to the Grant no. 3238 (or 3233 ?) issued the 24th day of November 1797.
Beginning at a Stake on Benjamin Phillips' North West Corner running West One hundred and ninety poles to a Stake. South one hundred and sixty-eight & half pole to a stake. East one hundred and ninety poles to a Stake on Phillips' line. North to the Beginning Containing two hundred Acres More or less to have and to hold the aforesaid Undivided parts of Said tract which falleth to us as heirs of said Robert McCann, unto the said William McCann his heirs and Assigns forever and the said Mary McCann, Alexander McCann & Thomas McCann doth oblige themselves to warrant & defend the said land against themselves, their heirs & assigns forever. In witness whereof to the true use of the said William McCann his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said Mary McCann, Alexander McCann & Thomas McCann have hereunto set their hands & affixed their seals the day & year above written________________.

The within deed of bargain & sale between Mary McCann, Alexander McCann & Thomas
McCann of the one part & William McCann of the Other part for three eights of an undivided
200 acre tract of land being exhibited in Court together with the Certificate of the Clerk &
presiding Justice of the County Court of Guilford in the State of North Carolina and the seal of
said Court assures the acknowledgement of Said deed in said Court by the aforesaid bargainers -
Mary McCann, Alexander McCann & Thomas McCann which did upon the Certificate aforesaid
together with said certificates as ordered to be registered ~
