Know all men by these presents that we, Jeremiah Stark and Thornton Stark both of the State of
Tennessee and County of Sumner for and in consideration of one thousand dollars to us in hand
paid by Alexander Stark of Said State and County have granted,, bargained, and sold and by
these presents doth grant bargain Sell, Convey and confirm unto the Said Alexander Stark his
heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land containing by Estimation one hundred
and two acres be the same more or less Situate lying in the Said county of Sumner, on the waters
of Turner's branch and bounded as follows: beginning at a white ash on the north edge of the
great road from Gallatin to Nashville, thence South 73.5 (degrees) East one hundred and three
poles with Jerry Stark's line to a hickory, thence 145 (degrees) with Thornton Stark's line by an
English cherry tree in a field across the plantation one hundred and Eight poles to an Elm Corner
to Said Thornton thence S 49.6 (degrees) Eighty poles to Elm in old line thence West with Said
line one hundred and thirty seven poles to an ash old corner thence North one hundred and ninety
poles to the beginning together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold
the Said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances to the Said Alexander Stark-Starks for
the only purposes benefit and behoof of him the said Alexander Starks his heirs and assigns
forever and the said Jeremiah Starks and Thornton Starks for themselves their heirs &C the Said
tract of land and bargained premises with all and Singular the advantages and appurtenances
thereunto belonging to the Said Alexander Stark his heirs and against the the (sic) lawful claim of
all persons whatsoever will forever warrant and defend in Testimony whereof we herewith Set
our hand this 14th day of May one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two. Signed Sealed and

Deed of bargain and sale from Jeremiah Starks & Thornton Stark to Alexander Stark for one
hundred and two acres of land was duly acknowledged in open Court by the bargainors and
ordered to be Registered.
