A Deed for 114 Acres of Land - deed book 8 page 49
This indenture made this _____ day of December eighteen hundred & sixteen between
William Crawford of the one part and Hugh Findley of the other both of Sumner County & State
of Tennessee, witnesseth that the said Findley for & in consideration of four hundred dollars to
him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth bargain & sell & convey unto
the said Crawford his heirs &c A certain tract or parcel of land situate on the waters of Station
Camp County of Sumner, and bounded as follows Viz, Beginning a White oak and Dogwood on
Hugh Crawford's line running South one hundred poles to a Hickory on David Holiday's line,
thence west with his line one hundred and eighty two poles & two fifths to beech, thence north
one hundred poles to a white ash on Hugh Crawford's Above mentioned line, thence east with sd
Crawford's line to the beginning making in all one hundred and fourteen acres be the same more
or less, to have & to hold to Wm Crawford his heirs, the above described tract of land with all the
rights whatsoever and the said Hugh Findley doth for himself his heirs &c agree Warrant and
defend the above described land against all legal claims of any person whatsoever, In witness
whereof Sd Findley hath hereunto set his hand Seal the day above written

This within deed of bargain & Sale between Hugh Findley of the one part and William
Crawford of the other part for 114 acres of land was duly proved in open court by the oaths of
James Burgess & William Pitt subscribing witnesses then so ordered to be Registered.
