JAMISON OZBURN & T. P. GILBERT TO JOHN J. ELLIS, 94 Acres

We Jaimison Ozburn and T. P. Gilbert have this day bargained and sold, and do hereby transfer and convey to John J. Ellis and his heirs forever, for the consideration of one hundred dollars, to us paid, by sd John J. Ellis, a tract of land, in the State of Tennesse, Sumner county, district No.19 on the waters of White Oak Branch of Drakes Creek of Barren River, containing ninety four acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows: Beginning on a black oak, thence South 138 poles to a stake, thence East 109 poles to a stake, thence North 138 poles to a Hickory, thence West 109 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said John J. Ellis, his heirs and assigns forever, we do covenant with the said John J. Ellis, that we are lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered. We do further covenant and bind ourselves, our heirs, and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title, to the said John J. Ellis, every part thereof, to his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims or claims of all persons whatsoever, this 23rd April 1850.

Personally appeared before me John S. Bugg Clerk of the County Court of said County, And. Taylor & Isaac Ellis, subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed then being first sworn depose and say that they are personally acquainted with T.P. Gilbert and J. Ozburn, the bargainors, and that they acknowledged that they made and executed the foregoing deed in their presence to be their act and deed upon the day it bears date and for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office this 24th April 1857
