TRANSCRIPT WILLIAM P. THOMAS TO WILLIAM C. BERRY

I Wm. P. Thomas have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to W. C. Berry and his heirs forever for the consideration one hundred and ten Dollars to me paid one tract of land in the State of Tennessee Sumner County District No. 6, containing by estimation twelve acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows: Beginning at a Stake in the middle of the Road where Henry Vinson’s old South line crossed said road thence South to an elm, Henry Vinson’s old South West corner, thence East one hundred & sixteen poles to two sugar trees Henry Vinson’s old South East corner, thence North with L. Watkins line to a Stake in the middle of the Road, thence with said Road to the beginning, containing twelve acres to have and to hold the same to the said W. C. Berry his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said W. C. Berry that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered. I further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said W. C. Berry his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever, this 15th Sept 1843.
