This Indenture made the first day of March One thousand Eight hundred & fifteen between
Thomas Bloodworth of Sumner County & State of Tennessee of the one part & William
Bloodworth of the same County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said
Thomas Bloodworth for and in consideration of the sum one hundred thirty Dollars to him in hand
paid by the said William Bloodworth the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given
granted bargained sold aliened convey and confirmed unto the said William Bloodworth his heirs
& assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County of Sumner
bordered as follows & being part of a Grant No. (space left open) dated Issued to Charles
Campbell for six hundred & forty acres from the State of North Carolina Beginning at a box elder
said Thomas Bloodworth's South West corner of the South boundary line of said Campbell's
preemption runs(?) East forty two poles to a large branch that runs through the Widow Johnson's
pasture thence up said branch with the several meanders eighty five poles to Johnson's line thence
West twenty three poles to a black gum Thomas Bloodworth's NorthWest corner thence South
sixty poles to the Beginning containing sixteen & three fourth of an acre be the same more or less
to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in
anywise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William Bloodworth his
heirs & assigns forever and the same Thomas Bloodworth for himself his heirs Executors and
administrators doth covenant & agree to & with the said William Bloodworth his heirs or assigns
that the before Recited land & bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the
right title interest or claims of all and every person or persons whatever.

Sumner County Court February Term 1815
The within deed of bargain & sale between Thomas Bloodworth of the one part & William
Bloodworth of the other part for 16 3/4 acres of land was duly acknowledged in open court by
the said Thomas Bloodworth the bargainer & ordered to be Registered.
