Court Decree
State of Tennessee to wit
Chancery Court at Gallatin for the County of Sumner
April Term 1846
Thompson Baldridge et al vs.
Samuel Gwinn heirs to wit Mary F. his wife, Geo. Damion, Andrew J. & Elizabeth M. Gwinn
And
Lucy Ann Baker Admx of Thos. A. Baker dec’d vs.
Stephen W. Baldridge

First Decree
Be it remembered that the above causes came on to be heard before the Hon. B.L. Ridley Chancellor the same having been Consolidated upon the Pleadings & Proof in the causes. It thereon appeared to the Court that Stephen W. Baldridge purchased a 640 acre tract of land lying in the Counties of Sumner & Robertson under a Decree of the Sumner Circuit Court and the Power of Attorney of Saml Gwinn selling the right of the heirs of John Allen and Saml Gwinn they being the purchasers of said land for the sum of $357 payable in 1,2 & 3 years that the Court under the said decree Decreed the title of Allen’s heirs to Stephen W. Baldridge and that the Defts in the first Bill are the heirs at law of Samuel Gwinn. It further appears to the Court that James Roney purchased of Stephen W. Baldridge 66 acres of said land Beginning at a stake in Roney’s South boundary line in the middle of the Road leading from Louisville to Nashville running thence West to a Black Oak thence South to Thompson Baldridges line thence East with said line to the big Road thence North with said Road to the beginning. The Court decrees that the title of said 66 acres of land be divided out of the heirs of Samuel Gwinn and out of Stephen W. Baldridge and vested in Benjamin Roney Exr of James Roney dec’d for himself and the other heirs of Said James Roney dec’d.

State of Tennessee} Act
I Wm. M. Blackmore Clerk & Master of the Chancery Court for the 4th Division of Said State at Gallatin do hereby Certify that the foregoing contains a perfect transcript of the within named Decree so far as the same relates to the divesture of the title out of the heirs of Saml Gwinn & out of Stephen W. Baldridge and the verture of the same in Benj. Roney Exr of James Roney dec’d.
In Testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand at Office in Gallatin this 15th day of Sept 1846.

Wm. Martin, Stephen W. Baldridge, Thompson Baldridge, Benj. Roney Executor & William Bowling.

Final Decree

Be it remembered that the above causes came on to be heard before the Hon. B.L. Ridley Chancellor, the same having been consolidated upon the Pleadings and Proof in the causes. It thereon appeared to the Court that Stephen W. Baldridge purchased a 640 acre tract of land lying in the Counties of Sumner and Robertson under a Decree of the Sumner Circuit Court and the Power of Samuel Gwinn selling the right of the heirs of John Allen and Samuel Gwinn they being the joint owners of said land for the sum of $557 payable in 1,2 & 3 years that the Court under the said Decree decreed the title of Allens heirs to S.W. Baldridge and that the Defts in the first Bill are the heirs at law of Samuel Gwinn. It further appears that Thompson Baldridge purchased of said Stephen W. Baldridge 100 acres of the land where the said Thompson Baldridge now resides in the Counties of Sumner & Robertson reference is made to his Bond for the particular boundaries and it further appearing that the said Thompson Baldridge had paid the Purchase money. It is therefore Decreed by the Court that all the right and title of said 100 acres of land on the heirs of Samuel Gwinn & Stephen W. Baldridge be divested out of them and these heirs and that the title of said 100 acres of land be vested in the said Thompson Baldridge and his heirs for.

State of Tennessee to wit
I William M. Blackmore Clerk & Master of the Chancery Court for the 4th Chancery Division of said State at Gallatin do hereby Certify that the above and foregoing Contains a true and correct copy of the Decree in said cause so far as the same relates to the title of said Thompson Baldridge.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Office in Gallatin this 6th day of October 1846.
