In the name of God Amen! I, William C. CARR of the County of Sumner and State of
Tennessee, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and
publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz. First, It is my
will that all my just debts be paid and my fincinal expences, and that my house hold and
kitchen furniture, farming utensils of every discription and also the whole of my live stock
of every kind be taken charge of by Executor an appropriated to the benifit of my beloved
wife Minerva CARR and my beloved daughters Sophia Ann and Elizabeth CARR. It is
also my will that my Executor hereafter named, when my beloved wife see cause to leave
this place where I now live, or marry, situated on Seiylar's Branch of Bledsoe's Creek that
they bargin sell and convey to the best advantage my track of land to be appropriated by
my Executors to the support and maintainance of my beloved wife and children Sophia
Ann and Elizabeth. It is my will and desire that my beloved brothers John S. CARR and
Wilson S. CARR be and are hereby appointed Executors, hereby revoking all former wills
by my hands. In Testimony where of, I have hereunto set my hand and Seal 18th May
1835.

Sumner County Court August Term 1835
The last Will and Testament of William C. CARR dec'd was inhibited in open court for
probate and duly proved agreeable to law by the oath of James CHARLTON and Jonathan
CARR subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and thereupon John S.
CARR one of the Executors named in said last Will and Testament appeared in Court and
Joseph ROBB his securities intended into and acknowledged their bond to the Governor
in the sum of One Thousand Dollars conditioned as the Law directs, and took the oath of
Executor priscribed by Law.
