Below is a transcript from the Fulgum family Bible. They lived in Sumner County and I am related to them through Nancy Fulgum, whose maiden name was Empson. This line ended, as both boys died young (Elias was a Confederate in the 30th TN and died at the Battle of Raymond MS) and neither girl married. I have the Bible because Mary Fulgum eventually moved in with my ggggrandparents, A.W. and Francis Bradley. Francis was an Empson before marriage and was the cousin of Mary. A.W., though not related, served with Elias in the 30th TN and may have even met his wife through his affiliation with Elias as they were both in Company E. Mary is buried beside A.W. and Frances in Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland.
