In the name of God Amen. I Charles Bell, of the County of Sumner and State of
Tennessee do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby making and
making void all other wills by me at any time and.
First. I direct that my funeral expenses and all my my debts be paid as soon after my
death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of, or may first come into
the hands of my executors.
Secondly. I give and bequeath to my five grandchildren, orphans of my son Micajah Bell,
deceased fifty dollars, to be equally divided among them and to be paid them by my
executors.
Thirdly. I give and bequeath to my son Zachariah Bell one negro boy named George also
one cow and calf, one horse called Bob and many things too tedious to mention which I
loaned him. I now release and do give them to him and his heirs forever.__
Fourthly. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Bell one negro girl named Martha
and her child named Daniel and his future increase also one bed and furniture, one cow
and calf and a certain young horse called Peter one saddle and bridle, to her and the heirs
of her body and if she should died without heirs the same shall revert to my son Benjamin
Bell and his heirs if any.
Fifthly. I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Bell a certain negro boy named Wyatt
also Philis ___ ____ youngest children named, Mary, ____, and any ____ also one
hundred and fifty acres of land lying in Crittenden County the State of Kentucky on the
waters of _______ Creek, adjoining of the land of George Winders, also one horse called
David, one saddle and bridle, one bed and furniture and one cow and calf. Also my
household and kitchen furniture, also the stock of every description, kitchen? utensils,
also my tools of every description also one hundred and forty four acres and a fraction of
land being the place that I now live but if my wife should care to live on it after my
decease he shall grant her to do so. Also it is my wish that my son Benjamin Bell should
keep his Sisters Mary and Martha with him.
Sixthly. I give and bequeath to my daughters Mary and Martha Bell one negro man
named Archie one bed and furniture one cow and calf one horse called Bill with a saddle
and bridle _____ _____ and a pair of ____ ____ and the ____ of _____ and if they
should die without heirs the same shall revert to Benjamin Bell and his lawful heirs
forever.
Seventhly. I do nominate and appoint my son Benjamin Bell and Mark Senter my
executors. In witness whereas I do to this my will set my hand and seal this 24th day of
