Sumner County
In the name of God Amen. I Charlotte Barrott of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee,
being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will
and testament in manner and form following, (viz):
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter-in-law, Mary Barrott my cloath loom one griddle
and five plates to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sally Barrott, one bed and furniture, one seven hundred slay and harness one puter dish one flat iron and five plates, and one chest, and one woolen wheel and cards to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Barrott one bed and furniture, one woolen wheel and cards one set of silver tea spoons, one puter dish and one puter bason, five plates and one flat iron to her and her heirs forever.
Item: My will and desire is that all the rest of my property not already given away be sold by my
Exec at twelve months credit and the money arising there from, to be put on interest and kept so
until my son Jacob Barrott comes to the age of twenty one years and then to be equally divided
between by said son Jacob Barrott and my son John Barrott share and share alike and my farther
desires that if eather of my sons should die? before they come to the age of Twenty one years
that, the others share take his part to him and his heirs forever.
I constitutes and appoint John Mc Elwrath my hole and sole executor of this my last will and
testament as witness my hand and seal this 26th July 1823.

The last will and testament of Charlotte Barrott was exhibited in open court for probate and there
upon duly? proved by the oath of Hudson Thomson a subscribing witness there to and ordered to
be recorded.
