Whereas R. M. Ireland Collector of the Taxes for the Corporation of Gallatin, has reported to Court, the following town lots or parts of town lots as having been assessed for the taxes for the year 1872 that the taxes thereon are due and remain unpaid and that the respective owners of the same have no goods and chattel within said Corporation of Gallatin on which he can distrain? for said taxes to wit.
I R. M Ireland, Collector of the taxes for the tows or Corporation of Gallatin situated in Sumner County Tennessee do hereby report to the Court the following tracts of land, town lots, and parts of town lots as having been assessed for taxes for the year 1872 which taxes are due and remain unpaid and that the respective owner of the same have no goods and chattel within my County on which I can distrain? For said taxes, viz:

The foregoing comprises the lots of parts of lots belonging to the respective parties above
mentioned and the same comprises the only lots owned by the parties in Gallatin in 1872.

It is the _ considered by the Court that judgement be and it is hereby entered against the aforesaid lots and parts of lots in the name of the Corporation of Gallatin, for the sum annexed to each being the amount of taxes costs and charges due severally thereon for the year 1872. And it is ordered by the Court that said several lots and parts of lots or so much thereof as shall be sufficient of each of them to satisfy the taxes and costs and all charges annexed to them severally be sold as the law directs.

I Thomas H. King Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that the
foregoing is a full true and _? copy of our (unable to read several words) . . . Corporation of
Gallatin to the Justice Term 1872 of said Court and of the judgement of said Court therein as the
_? appears of recorded in my office. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of said Court at office in Gallatin, this the 7th day of August A. D. 1875 and of
American Independence the 100th.

After advertising the within town lots as required by law I offered the same within lawful hours at
public outcry to the highest bidder at the Court House in the town of Gallatin on Saturday,
October 2nd, 1875 and the same was struck off as marked against each lot said parties being the
highest and best bidders. This Oct 2nd, 1875.
