Lyons Sams Malone (deceased) and her son Dallas Sams (living.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Robert Perry of Bunker Hill community<em> (son of Earl W. &amp; Jean Perry; grandson of Earl &amp; Nannie Scalf Perry; great-grandson of Isaac &amp; Nannie Mae Glover Scalf)<\/em> said that he has \u201cheard all of his life\u201d that upon entering Jones Cemetery, the unmarked graves on the front left side and other graves marked only by field stones are people who died \u201cin the epidemic.\u201d He assumed that was the 1918 influenza epidemic.<\/p>\n<p><b>Also buried here in unmarked graves<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jimmy Wayne Carver<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0Dec. 10, 1939 \u2013 March 10, 1941; died of spinal meningitis. Son of Otis Carver and Ruby Lyons Carver.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Billy Gene Carver<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0July 17, 1943 \u2013 Aug. or Sept. 1943; died in infancy. Son of Otis Carver and Ruby Lyons Carver.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Harry Scalf<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 born between 1927-1937 and died at birth; buried Jones Cemetery; grave was marked with a field stone. Son of Rudy McKinley &amp; Alma Walker-Scalf, and\u00a0grandson of Isaac &amp; Nannie Mae Glover-Scalf.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 1900 Census recorded that Nannie M. Scalf was the mother of 8 children with only 7 living, which leads me to believe that Howard B. Scalf, who is buried in Jones Cemetery, was the child who died of Isaac &amp; Nannie Glover-Scalf.\u00a0 John J.
