KING CEMETERY #1<\/strong> is located off the Shipley Ferry Road on King Ridge. It is just off Old Stagecoach Road & is \u00bd mile past the Bethel Methodist Church. There is a right of way that is kept cleared to the cemetery. It is enclosed in a chain link fence. Some of the inscriptions are no longer legible, but my family used to clean the cemetery and took the readings many years ago. There are some unmarked graves. One is an unknown man who died in the barn where he had been allowed to spend the night while traveling. There are numerous slaves graves & three that may be Indian graves.
