It is surrounded by evergreen trees and situated just prior to the intersection with Carden Hollow Road. Inscriptions taken by Robert Elsea (1987) and Jane Gottschall (1993.) At the entrance to the cemetery are a couple of unidentifiable, very old stones, next to Sarah G. Barker. Sarah’s maiden name was Lyon, and it is my belief that the stones are for her father Jacob Lyon, and his wife Ann Snodgrass Lyon. They once owned the land where the cemetery is located. They have been added to the listings. Jane Gottschall

MAP

Photo by Donna Briggs and the Cemetery Survey Team of Northeast Tennessee.

AYERS, Lucinda b. 3-4-1823 d. 7-3-1915

AYERS, R.
