Location: Near the intersection of New Bethel Road with Pickens Bridge Road<\/p>

Description: Located next to the church at 592 New Bethel Road in the Piney Flats area of Sullivan County. \r\n<\/p>

The property was once a part of Washington County, Tennessee and is still close to the county line. Several years ago, the church employed a crew to come in and \u201cstraighten up\u201d the cemetery. They took up several grave markers and put them in more straight lines. At that time, many foot stones were taken up and used to mark the unmarked graves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since this is such a large cemetery, I’ve removed the \u201cunknowns\u201d; those unmarked graves and markers with no inscriptions. This transcription is in order, beginning at the lower edge of the old section, working toward the church. We transcribed the cemetery in two sections, separated by the road.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 ~ Donna Briggs<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
