Jones County NC Wills, Vol. 2, 1760-1842, p. 329?

 

In the name of God, Amen. I Mary Kellum of the county of Jones and State of North Carolina, being of a sound and disparing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament, utterly revoking and renouncing all former wills by me heretofore made. In the first place, I recommend my soul unto the hands of almighty God who gave it, and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named, and respecting my worldly estate, I give and devise in manner and form following:

Inprimis—My will and desire is that all my just debts shall be paid and I do hereby give unto my oldest son, Joseph Key, the bond which he gave me for my dowry land and all amoluments? thereunto belonging to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my second son Jonathan Key my maiden land, and one feather bed to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Molly? Frazer ten yards of homespun cloth to her and her heirs forever.

Lastly, I lend unto my daughter _______ Gray during her natural life all the residue and remainder of my Estate of what kind or de__________ and at my said daughter’s death, my will and ______ is that it shall be equally divided among all her children to them and their heirs forever. And further I do appoint my son Jonathan Key Executor, and my daughter F_____ Gray executrix this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of March 1805.
