Wiley Jones, Sr
Smith Co TN Will Bk. 8 p 72
I Wiley Jones Sr do make & publish this as my last will & testament hereby
revoking & making void all other wills by me at any time made.
1st I direct that my funeral expenses & all my debts be paid as soon after
my death as possible out of any money that I may have on hand or the first
that comes in to the hands of my executor.
2nd I give unto my wife Jane all my estate both real & personal during
her natural life & at her death I give unto my son Wiley Jones all my land
by his paying into the hands of my executor the sum of $450.00 to be paid
on a 1 & 2 years time.
3rd After my wife death I want all my personal property to be sold by my
executor on a 12 months credit & to be equally divided between all my
children to wit Leonard & Elizabeth & Margarett & Polly & Barbary & Wiley
& Nancy & Thomas.
4th And lastly I do hereby nominate & appoint Thomas SANDERSON my
executor in witness whereunto I set my hand & seal this the 16 day of April 1859.

April term County Court 1861. Then the last will & testament of Wiley
Jones was produced in open court for probate and was duly proven by the
oath of Burnett CORNWELL one of the within subscribing witnesses. James
T. SUTTON the other subscribing witness being removed from this state.
Burnett CORNWELL, D.A. WITT and James C. WILLIAMS appeared in open court and after being first sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with
the hand writing of said J.T. SUTTON the other subscribing witness and
that the signature perpoting to be his is genuine when on motion said last
will and testament was ordered to be filed and recorded.
