Bluford Arris b. 13 June, 1916, Glen Allen b. 8 Nov. 1920, and Harris Dale Kemp b.18 April,
1924. All born Defeated, Tennessee Smith Co..
Nellie remarried to a Edward T. Best on July 2, 1942 and Carcie remarried to a Evelyn
Perdue of Bethpage, Tennessee. on 15 Aug. 1942 in Williamson County, Tennessee. Nellie Ethel
McCall Kemp Best died May 16, 1970 buried National Cem. Gallatin Rd., Nashville, Tenn. with
E.T. Best d. 12 March 1961. Carcie Allen Kemp died Novermber 02, 1956 and was re-interred from
Cresview Memorial Park in Gallatin to Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens on October 16, 1996 by
his only remaining son Harris D. Kemp and granddaughter Judith who re-interred her father
Glen A. Kemp from Cresview also, so they could remain together in their native soil of Smith
County . Harris died January 11, 1997 and rests on the other side of his father.
