She left a family Bible in which she had recorded three generations of both the Waggoner and Gwaltney
families. The seed she sowed was the reason for my interest in genealogy many years later. Both of
these families were early 1800 settlers in Smith County and married into many other families such as
Baird, Wilkerson, Bradford, Ashley, Gibbs, Gold, Upton, James, Wyatt, Enoch, Denney and others.
My grandmother was a student in a girls school in Warrenburg, Mo when my grandfather went there and married her.
