Unknown Group Picture


I am not sure what this is.. but it looks like it could be a large church group gathered on the banks
of a pond or creek for a baptism. There are so many faces in the crowd,if you want your own copy let
me know and I will try to get it to you. On the right hand side are some people I THINK I recognise
(we can't be sure), so your opinion counts. Look at the older woman in the light print long sleeve dress,
in front on the right. I believe that this is Mattie Moore Marks, Frances' mother. Just to her right
(our left) is Nancy Moore (Turner). That pretty face is unmistakable. To Nancy's right (our left) is, I think,
Frances Marks (Stanley). The fellow just visible over Nancy and Mattie's shoulder seems very proprietary
don't know if he was a beau or not. I also don't know what Van New looked like in his early days,
so you Turners get out your magifying glass. When I blow this photo up (and the original is very small)
I can see the eyes and brow of a man in the back, middle left which remind me of Uncle Robert..
but who will ever know? And just behind and to the left of the three children in the front
is an older boy looking down with something in his hands. This looks a lot like our Dad as a boy.
