CALTHA SOPHRONIA WEST KEMP
Born May 25, 1853 to Capt. Claibourn Wright West & Frances Williams, d/o James
Claridy & Millicent Sutton Williams. Frances died in her daughter's home near
Friendship Baptist Church January 14, 1906. Caltha married Cyrus Jackson Kemp
(Uncle Bose) on September 7, 1871. He was the son of William Layton Kemp Sr. &
Dorothy Pankey.& born June 28, 1842. Caltha & Cyrus had two sons: Lacy Crafton
Kemp b. June 19, 1872, m. Eddie Lee Williams d/o James H. Williams; Henry Wright
Kemp b. May 14, 1881, m. Minnie Edna Hudson. Caltha died July 07, 1933 and Cyrus
died May 27, 1923. They rest in the Seven Sisters Cemetery.
