Robert Lee Chaffin (b: Jan. 16, 1878; d: March 27, 1935), son of Harvey & Julia Ann Gregory Chaffin.
Dora was the daughter of Steven White (b:Feb. 1859 in Smith County, died sometime after 1900,
son of John Bradley & Eleanor/Ellen Barton White from Smith County) and Elizabeth Davis
(b: Dec.1865 in Tenn., died after 1900, daughter of Willis Bethel and Mary Jane Bowman Davis
from Smith County. We haven't found Dora's parents' burial place yet.
Also pictured on this website is the brother of Robert Lee Chaffin; John Thomas Chaffin.
Ina Lucile, along with her parents and many of her brothers and sisters, were buried in Monoville.
The family (as well as the community, if the newspaper article is any guide) referred to it as the
Piper Cemetery (that's what my grandfather always called it when he took me out there). I noticed
that they refer to it as the Hines Cemetery in the Cemetery Pictures and Book.
This picture of the remaining children of Robert Lee & Dora Barton White Chaffin
(taken in the year after Ina Lucile's death).
