Russell, Talitha J. Kemp 1892 - 1929
After a long illness of tuberculosis,
Mrs. Talitha Russell, aged 31 years,
died at the home of her father in the Difficult
section of the county at an
early hour Saturday night. She had been at death's door for several days
and the end was not unexpected. She leaves her husband, Ernest Russell,
a trader of the Donoho section of the county; one son, Donald Lee Russell;
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kemp, one brother Asa Kemp of Difficult,
and three sisters, Mrs. Brittie Kemp, a patient in a Ridgetop sanatorium,
Mrs. Mallie Hackett and Mrs. Henry Jones, both of the Difficult section.
Burial was made at three o'clock Sunday afternoon in
the family grave-
yard following funeral services conducted by the Rev. G.W. Ramsey. The
deceased was a professed Christian, although she was not identified with
any church. She was a woman of many lovable traits of character and her
untimely death is deeply deplored by a large circle of friends.
