Transcriber's notes:
Wiley Hailey Jones died August 05, 1966.
Wiley Hailey Jones was the son of M.L. [Luther] Jones and Gillie Ann Hailey.
He was the brother of William Henry Jones and Charlie L. Jones. He had a
sister Mary Jane “Mamie” Jones. Charlie died in 1925. Henry Jones was
married to Beulah J. Kemp in 1921 [d/o John M. & Virgie Allen Kemp] &
they are buried in the Dixon Springs cemetery. Beulah survived Henry, dying
at the age of 95 February 05, 2000. Henry & Beulah had no issue.
Wiley’s daughter was the wife of Gerald Kirby, who can be seen in a photo on
this site, sitting on Umbrella Rock. He is the second from the left and sits
with Gordon Kirby, John Kirby, John Meadows and Tom Mundy. My grand-
father, Carcie Allen Kemp, wrote on the back of the photo that John Kirby
was the father as well as the father of Carl Kirby who is not pictured.
Carl was married to Mittie
Irene Duke, granddaughter of James Layton Kemp &
Virginia Josephine Witt. [per Pankey book] John
Meadows may have been John Meador.
