This good woman was born June 17, 1847 and was married to Wm B. Canter

couple were born and reared in communities adjacent to Difficult and
were married in
Mr. and Mrs. Canter came as
near as is humanly possible to embodying the idea of two hearts beat as one and
two lives for a single purpose as any couple the writer can recall. Their paramount purpose was to serve their Lord
acceptably and they demonstrated by their every day lives that the best way to
serve the Master was to serve his people.
Mrs. Canter with her pretty features and Mr. Canter with his erect
carriage were conspicuous in their bearing and
thoughtfulness and kind consideration at all times of each other and those with
whom they came in contact. Seven
children blessed their union, three of whom, James Canter and Mrs. Williams of
Difficult and Burford Canter of
J. M. Cox, a friend of the family, conducted the services. Interment took place at the burying ground on the farm of John A. Kemp. Mrs. Canter was the mother of the late Gene Canter whose passing was noted by the Courier three weeks ago. A multitude of friends extend deepest sympathy to the bereaved in the passing of Mrs. Canter and may there be many others whose life will be as a benediction as was hers.
