Canter, George Milton 1843 - 1914
GEORGE CANTER, aged 71 years, died last Friday Morning, February 27, 1914 at the home of his son, Wm. Canter of Defeated, and was buried the following day at the Kennedy graveyard in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Rev. W. T. Mathews conducted the funeral services.
Mr. Canter suffered an attack of paralysis some two years ago which resulted in his death. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church. Ten children survive him.

George Milton Canter, born October 14, 1843, was a son of Levi and Parthenia Sloan Canter.
George M. Canter was married to Mary Jane Canady/Kennedy on December 27, 1865, d/o William C. and Betsy Donoho Canady. George and Mary Jane’s children were:
