This Indenture made this twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & twenty Six Between Frederick Uhles of the County of Smith & State of Tennessee of the one part & Thos. L.Hardy of the County of Smith & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Frederick Uhles for or in consideration of the sum Twenty Five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Hardy the receipt whereof is hereby ack? hath this day bargained sold conveyance & confirmed by these presents doth bargain & sell convey & confirm unto the said Thomas L. Hardy his heirs and assigns a certain tract of Land lying & being in the said County of Smith & State aforesaid & on a branch of the east-fork of Goose Creek, Beginning on a stake on Saml Roarks South Boundary line running South thirty six poles to a stake thence East fifty four poles to a stake thence north to Saml Roarks line thence west with said Roarks line to the beginning Containing in said survey twenty acre tract that was granted to the said Frederick Uhles by the State of Tennessee & to include the farm on which the [???] Hardy now lives to have & to hold the above twenty land & promises with all & Singular the rights & profits advantages & [immoluments ?] thereto belonging or in the [anymise ?] appertaining to the Said Thos Hardy his heirs & assigns forever & the said Frederick Uhles doste by these presents for himself and his heirs warrent will forever defend to the said Thos Hardy his heirs & assigns the above describedland & promises against this heirs & every other persons agains himself [???] heirs & every other person whomsoever. our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and thirty two. Between Thomas L. Hardy of the County of Smith and State of Tennessee of the one part and Thomas McClard of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Thomas L. Hardy for an consideration of the Sum of One hundred and twenty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas McClard the receipt of whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and Sold conveyed and confirmed and by these [prisarcts ?] doth bargain
and Sell convey and confirm unto the Said Thomas McClard his heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the Said County of Smith and State aforesaid and on the waters of the east fork of Goose Creekto wit. Beginning at a Stake on Samuel Roarks South boundary thence running Sixty seven poles to a dogwood in Cremans [?] North boundary thencerunning with the Same One hundred and forty six and one fourth poles to a yellow wood & Hickory thence running North Sixty poles to a Stake in Said Roarks South boundary then running west one hundred and forty six and one fourth poles to the beginning containing sixty two acres by survey be the same more or less to include the house and a farm whereon the said Thomas McClard now lives. To have and to hold the above described land and premises with all and singular the rights and profits advantages and imdurments [?] thereunto belonging or in any use of pertaining to the said Thomas McClard his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas L. Hardy doth by these presents for himself and his heris warrant and will forever defend to the said Thomas McClard his heirs and assigns the above described land and premises agarmet [?] himself his heirs and every other person whomsoever. Hardy of the County of Smith and State of Tennessee of the one part and Andrew G. Ford of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas L. Hardy for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirty dollars to Me in hand paid by the Said Andrew G. Ford the Recpt Whereof
is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained Sold Conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain Sell Convey and confirm unto the Said Andrew G. Ford his heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Said Counrt of Smith and on the east fork of Goose Creek Butter [?] and [???] as follows to the beginning at a elm tree Locust and Cherry tree Running up a Small holler with the Marke [?] a trees to a beech then Running Near Gloest [?] to a Sugar tree on the West bondary of a hundred acre tract of Land granted to John Jones thence Running South with Said Line to a buckeye and In the original Corner of Said tract thence Running North twenty nine degrees East Seventy Six poles to the Beginning Containing Sesc acres of Land by Survey be this Same more or Less to have and to hold the above described Land and premises it being a part of the Lot No 3 with all and Singular the Rights and profits advantages and emolerments [?] thereunto belonging or in any use apportaining to the Said Andrew G. Ford his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Thomas L. Hardy doth by these presents for myself My heirs and assigns will warrant and will forever defend unto the Said Andrew G. Hardy of the County of Smith and State of Tennessee of the one part and Andrew G. Ford of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Thomas L. Hardy for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hun-dred and forty dollars to him in hand paid by the Said Andrew G. Ford the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained Sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain Sell convey and confirm unto the said Andrew G. Ford his heirs and assigns a certain tract or par-cel of Land Lying and being in Said County of Smith and State aforesaid and on a branch of the east fork of the Goose Creek formerly called Jones Branch and being a part of a hundred acre tract of Land Granted to John Jones by the State of Tennessee Butten [?] and Bounded as follows to Wit, Beginning on a Sugar tree and White oak tree thence running west Forty two poles to a beech tree thence Running South twenty nine and one half degrees west seventy six poles to a Elm Cherry & Locust trees thence South twenty nine and one half degrees west eighty eight poles to a Buckeye the original corner of the Said one hundred acre tract granted to John Jones as aforsd thence Running east Forty Six poles to a Stake and have [??] Marked as a corner thence Running North thirty degrees East one hundred and six-ty poles on Lot Number one and one Lot Number two to the Beginning Containing 43 acres by survey be the same more or Less Being apart of the before mentioned one hundred acres Granted to John Jones and to include the farm Wherein the Said Thomas L.
