Jeremiah Gregory One Hundred acres on the waters of

To
All To Whom These Presents Shall Come, Greeting: KNOW YE, that by virtue of Entry No. 1937 dated the 12th
day of November 1834 made in the Entry-Takers office of Smith County in
pursuance of an act of the General Assembly of said state passed on the 9th
day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty.
There
is granted by the State of Tennessee, unto Jeremiah Gregory a certain Tract or
Parcel of Land, containing One Hundred acres by survey bearing date the 4th
day of August 1835 lying in said county, on the waters of Peytons Creek and
bounded as follows to wit Beginning on a beech about twenty seven poles East
and sixteen North of the South East corner of his 50 acre tract thence North
one hundred & forty six poles to a sugar tree & beech thence West one hundred
fifty four and two third poles to a hickory thence South one hundred and forty
six poles to a stake thence East one hundred fifty four and two third poles to
the beginning.
With
the hereditaments and appurtenances. To
have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to
the said Jeremiah Gregory and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, Newton Cannon Governor of the State of
Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the Great Seal of the state
to be affixed, at Nashville, on the 30th day of November in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five and of the Independence
of the United States the sixtieth.
