In 1818 they moved two miles south to the edge of Hogan's Creek where
they built a new building and changed the name of the church to Hogan's
Creek Missionary Baptist Church. They built another new building in 1860.
In 1902, Elder J.H. Grimes said: " Perhaps not less than 1,000 persons
have been received into her fellowship since the organization". Since 1902
there have been many more. One hundred and ninety years later, Hogan's Creek
is still meeting every Sunday morning.
The deacons are Bro. Fred Angel, Bro Robert Waggoner, and Bro. Sammy Angel.
Hogan's Creek meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School and
11:00 a.m. for preaching. Hogan's Creek is located just outside South
Carthage, two miles up on Hogan's Creek Road off Highway 70 North.
