Reunion
_____
A reunion of the descendants of the late Mr. and Mrs.
William T. Taylor, former residents of the Monoville section of Smith County,
was held recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam E. Taylor near Lafayette.
Eighty-five persons were present, including the six sons and the two daughters
of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. All the children of this very worthy couple are still
living and were present for the reunion. They are: Sam Taylor, of Lafayette;
Lester Taylor, of Orville, Ala.; Bob and John Taylor, both of Monoville, Tenn.;
Tom Taylor, of Bethpage; Drury Taylor, of Batavia, Ohio; Mrs. Ethel Bullard, of
Gallatin; and Mrs. Herlin Dillehay, of Route one, Carthage. The oldest is
Lester Taylor, 70, and the youngest is Drury, 59.
Twenty-three grandchildren
were in attendance, as well as other descendants of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Taylor.
A number of Gamaliel, Kentucky, relatives were also in attendance and enjoyed
the big dinner brought to the Sam Taylor home by the entire group. Plans are
being made to have another reunion next year, but the location has not been
decided.
