My name is Kathy {lawson} Coldiron,I'm trying to start a family
tree, my mother was born in Dunlap,on 07-18-1917 her mother's name was
Emaline {Goins}Smith, her father's name was Thomas Allen Smith.
MY Mother's name was Margie Odell {Smith} Lawson,she was born and
raised there.some of her sisters name was Lella Cooley,Estale
Layne,Nora Turna;she had more sisters but I can't rember them all, some of
her brothers names are Wade Smith, TA Smith,Charle Smith Jhonnie Smith. MY
grandmother Emline{Goins} Smith had a twin sister named Adaline Douglas. I
still have cousins that still lived there maybe one of you have a computer,
and can help me or anyone that knows anythong about the Smith Family. Like
what is my great grandfather's name, where was he born and when? Where was
My grandmother from and what was her mother and fathers name where was they

BANDY: I noticed in the 1861 Sequatchie Co. census posted here an Ancel
Bandy in Dist. 3. Wondering if this gentleman has any
connection with a Dr. James A. Bandy who was 46 years old in 1900 and was
in Palo Pinto Co., (Mingus) TX, at that time. Appreciate any info. This is
periferal to my main search, but the Bandy line is in my wife's

My ggrandmother was Louise Emaline MATHIS. She was born in 1854 in
Sequatchie
Valley. She mar her cousin in Hamilton (James) Cty, TN; his name was
Alexander Scott MATHIS in 1881. They are both buried at the King's Point
Cemetary in E. Chattanooga. I don't know who Louise's parents were or
anything about them other than her father died in Lafayette, GA around
1890. If anyone can help with this family I would be thrilled! Thanks

1830 thru 1850: William King ALEXANDER & 2nd wife Harriette Brock had
6 children: George b. 1838, Benjamin 1839, James 1840, Caroline Brock b.
1844 d.1921, Safronia b.1856 d.1893, Malinda b. 1844. They lived on or
near Lookout Mountain, in Sequache Valley. One of the men made wagon
wheels. Any additional info or corrections would be appreciated. Also I
would like to verify that they were Cherokee to some degree.
William King ALEXANDER died & Harriette & children moved to
Opdyke, Il. via wagon train. So far I have been unable to find any
record of his death. Thank You for any additional info, advise or

daughter in Chattagonna in the 1900S. Would have been from Georgia
Tom had brother named Pete Rogers and sister named Minnie from Ga
Tom Rogers lived in the area 1905-1915 or so. Looking for his
realatives and what happened to him. Family received letter from
daugher, however has been lost years ago. Tom ROGERS was known to
have had a stiff arm.

Elizabeth Nippers Tarwater (married Noah Tarwater in l867 in Sequatchie
County.) Harriet Elizabeth Nippers was the daugher of Matthew Nippers,

My great, great, granddad was born in Marion County on August 14, 1842.
His name was Benjaman Franklin Lasater. I believe he was the son of
Jonathon (sp?) Lasater. If you could help me it would be greatly

Owen in the Sequatchie Valley (date unknown at this time). He was known

are listed as Bl-19-705, if someone has access to this census the info
contained would be graetly appricatied. I am trying to determine if there
is a JACOB TEETERS listed as one of his children on a early census
according to my sources he is listed as one of his children on the 1830
census.
