Iam researching my
husband's family starting with Absolum Dennis whomoved to Monroe
County, OH in 1832 from Loudoun Co., VA and his son,Joseph T. Dennis
who married Hester Ann Johnson. Joseph & Hesterwere my husband's
great great grandparents. I have information thatone of the sons of
Joseph & Hester moved to TN and found in oldMonroe Co. OHrecords of
the late 1960's that a Mrs. Norma Jean Dennis Hobbs ofDunlap, TN had
written to Monroe County requesting information on theDennis family
and she stated that she was a descendant of Joseph T.Dennis. Then I
found her name listed as the author of severalpublications re TN
history in the Library of Congress. I be soappreciative if I could
get some information on this son of Joseph T.and Hester who went to
TN, raised his family and apparently died inTN. If anyone knows any
