William “Bill” Bowman of Chickamauga died Sunday, July 31. He was 74. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Clyde and Pauline Bowman. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Corely Manufacturing, where he was a welder for 35 years. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of the D.A.V. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Larry Randall Crook. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Bowman; daughters, Terri Johnston and Trisha Bowman, both of Chickamauga; grandson, Jeremy Johnston; great-granddaughter, Ariana; sister, Mary Crook of Dunlap, Tenn.; nephews, Gary Lomenick and Tony Crook.
