Blevins
(1869-1964)
Known as the "Ram’s Horn Orator" and "Mr. Republican" in Scott County for most of his adult life, ‘Huse’ Blevins was born and raised in the Parch Corn Creek community of Scott County, and served as a teacher, office holder, writer and farmer. He married ROSA MARCUM and the couple had 10 children. He was the descendant of a Scott County pioneer family and loved to tell stories about the old timers and old time ways, as he did in a column published in the Scott County News for a number of years.
