PLES STOREY was born in 1870 and he moved his family in a wagon to Mountain View in November 1899, from Byrdstown, TN, bringing his blind father, HENRY STOREY (1852-1938), to live with him here in Scott County.
PLES STOREY made a living farming and as a teamster for the Southern Railroad. He hauled freight with his horse drawn wagon from the Robbins Depot to customers.
Children of PLES STOREY and ALICE HUDDLESTON STOREY (1874-1971) are:
CLAUDE, LLOYD, PLESSIE, ADA, IDA, and ARNOLD.
Children of CLAUDE STOREY (1899-1965) and FLORENCE WEST STOREY (1897-1969) are: ROBERT, EARL McGINNIS (Mac), PAUL, MAXINE, CLAUDE, Jr., FLOSSIE, WILLIAM (Bill), GLENN, GEORGE, SHEILA, BETTY, and JOHN.
Children of GLENN STOREY and EDITH SMITHERS STOREY are: ALLEN, GARY, and JEFF.
