Charles Winford Haynes was the only child born of the union between Henry Carter Haynes and Virginia Elizabeth Russell.   He was born April 04, 1915 in Bedford County, Tennessee and died January 08, 2000 in Davidson County, Tennessee. 

After the death of his father, Virginia married Robert Thomas Adcock who had two children from a previous marriage.  They were J. G. Adcock and Kansas Elizabeth Adcock.  From the marriage of Virginia Russell Haynes to Robert Thomas Adcock came four children, Robert Allen Adcock, Mary Lou Adcock, Milton Oreon Adcock and Melvin Claxton Adcock.

Charles Winford (Bill) married Ona Ruth Crick, whose parents were William Malcolm (Mack) Crick and Katherine Ethel Haynes, on July 20, 1935 in Bedford County, Tennessee (see Bedford County Marriage Records of 1935--Book Z, Page 22).  They had six daughters; Billie Ann Haynes, Katherine Joyce Haynes, Virginia Sue Haynes, Linda Lou Haynes, Willie Maxine Haynes and Martha Faye Haynes. 

They lived in the Halls Mill community of Bedford County, Tennessee until 1940 and later moved to Unionville, Tennessee and farmed.  About  the mid 1940's, they purchased a farm between Eagleville, Tennessee and Rover, Tennessee where they lived until 1965.  All of their children at one time attended Eagleville School.  Maxine and Faye attended Unionville School for one year.  In August of 1965, they moved to Shelbyville, Tennessee and Faye attended schools in Shelbyville.  Bill and Ruth lived in Shelbyville until they retired.  At the time of Bill's death, they had moved back to the community where they began, in the Rover/Longview area.

Billie Ann was born September 14, 1936 and married Alton Pruitt November 04, 1950 in Rutherford County.  From their marriage they had two sons, Alton Pruitt, Jr. and Charles Dwight Pruitt.  Billie Ann's second marriage was about 1955 to James Claris Windrow of Rockvale, Tennessee and from this marriage was born one son, James Wilburn Windrow.

Katie was born May 06, 1941 in Bedford County, Tennessee.  She married Charles Leroy Scales of Kirkland, Tennessee on October 29, 1957.  They had three children; Margie Diane Scales, Charles Christopher Scales and Nathan Dwayne Scales.

Sue was born September 20, 1943 in Bedford County, Tennessee and married Hollis Ray Ashworth on September 10, 1957.  They had one child, Brenda Leona Ashworth.  Sue then married James Curtis Smith on January 15, 1961 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.  From this marriage, three sons were born; James Douglas Smith, Robert Stephen Smith and Curtis Dwayne Smith.

Linda was born November 15, 1945 in Bedford County, Tennessee married Bobby Ray Barrett of Murfreesboro, Tennessee on July 21, 1961.  They had two son; Thomas Carter Barrett and Russell Gene Barrett.

Maxine was born March 12, 1949 and married William Orville Busey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee on April 25, 1965 in Cannon County, Tennessee.  They had four children; William Mardale Busey, Ruth Ann Busey, Edward Todd Busey and Alisa Yvonne Busey.

Faye was born June 05, 1953 in Rutherford County, Tennessee and married Jesse Lee Baugher of  Shelbyville, Tennessee on September 22, 1973 in Bedford County, Tennessee.  They had no children.
