To all the whose there presents Shall come, Greeting
 Know ye that in consideration of Military Service performed by John Porter to the State of North Carolina Warrant No. 3372 and entered on the 13th Day of December 1790, there is Granted by the said State of Tennessee unto Samuel McMurry assignee of the heirs of the said John Porter a certain tract or parcel of Land containing three Hundred and twenty acres lying in Tennessee County on the North Side of Cumberland River on the Sulphur fork of the Red River. Beginning on Hugh Hennings line at two Shugartrees and White walnut, then East two hundred poles to a huckbery and Dogwood in Said Hennings line, then South two hundred and fifty six poles to a stake and Spanish oak, then west two hundred poles ____ to a Red and white oak, thence North two hundred and fifty six poles to the Beginning, Surveyed January 20th 1791, with the appertenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the Said Samuel McMurry and his heirs forever in witnefs whereof John Sevier Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the grate Seal of the State to be affixed at Knoxville on the twentyeth Day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight and of the Independenceof the United States the thirty third.
