         (After the initial surveys there were many parcels and tracts that were not owned by anyone due to the metes and bounds method of surveying. Those small tracts were later granted by the states of Kentucky or Tennessee depending on where they fell relevant to the old Walker survey line.

         State of Tennessee No. 19242. To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting. Know ye that by virtue of part of Certificate No. 783 dated the 11th of October 1814 Issued by the Commissioners for West Tennessee to John B. Chandler for 640 acres and entered on the 9th day of Sept 1815 by No. 15611. There is granted by the State of Tennessee unto Warren L. Payne assignee of the said John B. Chandler a certain tract or parcel of land containing forty five acres by survey barring date 10th day of April 1817 Lying in the 1st District Robertson County on the waters of the North fork of Red River and bounded as follows to wit; Beginning at a Black oak and said Payne's S.E. Corner of the tract whereon he now lives running thence North with his line Sixty poles to a black jack thence East eighteen poles to a Post oak on Dudley Payne's West boundary line Thence South with said line twenty seven poles to a black oak his S. West corner Thence East With Dudley Payne's south boundary line one hundred and ninety six poles to a Spanish oak his South East corner thence North with his East boundary line one hundred and four poles to a black Jack thence East sixteen and one half poles to a black Jack on Biggs line Thence South with said line eighty two poles to a Post Oak Biggs South West corner thence West with John Payne's North Boundary line Six and one half poles to a stake a black Jack the North West corner thence South with his West boundary line fifty two poles to an Elm Dudley Payne's corner thence West with his line ninety poles to a post oak thence South with Dudley Payne's West boundary line three poles to a stake thence West seventy four poles to the beginning. With the hereditments and appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with it appurtenances to the said Warren L. Payne and his heirs forever in Witness whereof William Carroll Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the State of Tennessee affixed at Murfreesborough on the 4 day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty three and of the Independence of the United States the forty seventh.
