         This Indenture made this the 6th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven Between Joseph W. Owen and Joseph England of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and Francis R. Durrett of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars to us in hand paid the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed unto the said Francis R. Durrett his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the Waters of the Sulpher fork of Red River formerly belonging to James Owen dec’d bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning on the Original Corner old stump and pointers running East to John P. Chambers Corner thence north to the Creek to a maple thence with the meanders of said Creek to James Owen’s Corner thence South one hundred and forty five poles to Lot No.5, thence West two hundred and three poles thence north one hundred and forty five poles to the Beginning Containing Two hundred acres be the same more or less to have and to hold with all appurtenances leges(?) To the said Durrett his heirs and assigns forever the said Owen and England for themselves their heirs Executors administrators and assigns doth Warrant and forever defend the title of said Land and bargained premises from the Claim or Claims of all and every person whatsoever unto the said Francis R. Durrett his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever. In testimony Whereof We the said Joseph W. Owen and Joseph England hath hereunto set his hands and Seals the day and years first above Written.

         Robertson County Personally appeared before me William Shelly Clerk of the County Court for said County Joseph England the bargainer of the forgoing deed with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the same for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office December 12th 1837.
