         This Indenture made this tenth Day of May in the year of our lord One Thousand eight hundred and Eleven between James Long of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Black of the State and County aforesaid of the other part.
         Witness that the said James Long for an in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid before the sealing & Delivering these presents the right whereof is Hereby Acknowledged Hath given granted ____ and sold Aliened Conveyed & Confirmed unto the said William Black his heirs and assigns forever A Certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the County of Robertson on sulpher fork of Red River Beginning at a stake near an old Po?? Running north with Williams line two hundred & twenty six poles to a Small Red Oak on the bank of the Creek, then East One hundred and forty one poles to a hickory, then South two hundred and twenty six and half poles to a white Oak, then West One hundred and forty One poles to the Beginning, Containing two hundred acres, Being part of Hoods Preemption to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with all and singular the rights profits emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said William Black his heirs and assigns forever and he the said James Long for himself his heirs Executors & Administrators doth Covenant and agree to and with the said William Black his heirs and assigns, that he and they the before recited land and premises and Warrant and for ever defend against the right title Claim or Interest of all and Every person or persons legally Claiming the same. In Testimony whereof the said James Long hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written.
