Know all men by these presents that we Gideon Payne, Solomon Payne, John Summerville, C. Payne, Enoch Holeman, Warren Payne & David West of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid by James Payne of the County and State aforesaid and the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have remitted , release and forever quit claim and do by these presents, to wit; release and forever quit claim unto the said James Payne his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing sixty nine acres and ninety six poles be the same more or less and bounded as follows, beginning at two black oaks thence south one hundred and twenty eight poles to Bowman’s line thence west with said line eighty seven poles to two black oaks thence north one hundred and twenty eight poles to the north boundary line of original survey thence east eighty seven poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the same together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said James Payne his heirs & assigns forever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seal this 6th day of February 1819.
