         I Francis Durrett have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to John S. Durrett and his heirs forever for the consideration of two hundred and seventy Dollars, to me paid, a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Robertson County and District Number eleven, containing by estimation ninety acres be the same more less and bounded as follows: Beginning on a white oak, thence East one hundred and thirty seven poles to a rock Bratin Jernigan’s corner, thence North seven poles to a dogwood, thence East fifty poles to a red oak near the road, thence South with the meanders of said road John Gilbert’s North boundary line, thence West with said Gilbert’s line to the creek, thence North with the meanders of same to a persimmon corner, thence North thirty eight degrees West fifty nine poles to the Beginning, to have and to hold the same to the said John S. Durrett his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said John S. Durrett that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right ot convey it and that the same is unincumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and Representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and my part thereof to the said John S. Durrett his heirs and assignes against the lawful claims of all persons Whatebver this 31st day of January 1845. Rec’d for Registration 3 February 1846 at 5 ock PM.

State of Tennessee Robertson County
         Personally appeared before me Joseph E. Winfield clerk of the County Court for said County, A.G. Frey & A.L. Durrett subscibing witness to the within named deed, who being first sworn to depose and say that they are acquainted with Francis Durrett the bargainer and that the acknowledged the same in their prescence to be his act and deed on the day it bears date. Given under by hand at office this 3 day of February 1846.
