For and in consideration of Two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) __________ Gilbert has executed to me his promissory note payable Jan 2, 1908 with interest ____ Jan 1, 1907 secured by a lien which I ____. I T.D. Berry transfer and ____ to W.W. Gilbert his heirs and assigns the right and title to one tract of land lying in the second civil district of Robertson County Tennessee and bounded as follows.
Beginning at a stone in J.C. Webbs line tuns N 83 W 15 poles and 1 link to a stone thence S 3 W 28 poles 4 links to a stone S 85 ½ E 15 poles 4 links to a stone J.C. Webbs line thence N 3 E 27 poles and six links to beginning containing 2 acres 105 poles more or less.
To have and to hold to the said W.W. Gilbert his heirs and assigns forever.
I covenant with the said Gilbert that I am well possessed of this land that it is not encumbered and bind my self heirs and legal representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. This Nov 2, 1906.
