This Indenture made this 16th day of September one thousand Eight Hundred and twenty four, Between William K. Arnold of the County of Robertson State of Tennessee of the one part and Hardy Grisard of the County & State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty two dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I hath bargained, sold and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Hardy Grisard his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County and state aforesaid on the South side of Red River - Beginning at a white oak on Hardy Grisard line running west fourteen poles to red oak and poplar on Suggs line, thence North with said line one hundred & Sixty poles to a small Black oak thence as agreed by said Grisard and Arnold South Seventy two Degrees East fifteen poles to a stake, thence South passing a post oak corner in all one hundred and fifty five poles to the beginning, containing 13 acres and a half be the same more or less, to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all the advantages hereditments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Hardy Grisard his heirs and assigns forever and I the said William K. Arnold for myself, my heirs do warrant and defend the above bargained premises and everything thereto appertaining unto the said Hardy Grisard his heirs & etc forever from all and every person or persons legally claiming the same in testimony whereof I have thereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first written.
