I Moses Winters of the County of Robertson State of Tennessee, being very sick but of sound & perfect mind & memory but knowing the uncertainty of this transitory life, do think proper to make this my Last Will and Testament, in manner & form following. To Wit:
First, I lend to my loving wife Elizabeth Winters, all my stock of cattle, hogs & horses, also all my household & kitchen furniture& plantation utensils, also the plantation and lands whereon I now live (to be at her own disposal) for & during her natural life or Widowhood (and no longer) -
Also I give and bequeath to the heirs of my daughter Elizabeth Nicks, the sum of one dollar (to be paid to them out of my estate) by my Executrix hereafter named to them and their heirs forever & this I leave them in Lieu & Satisfaction of any dower they may hereafter Claim in my estate.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Nicks the sum of one dollar (to be paid her, or her heirs) out of my estate my Executrix hereafter named, to her & her heirs forever, and this I leave in Lieu & Satisfaction of any dower she may hereafter claim in my estate -
Also I give and bequeath to my daughters Phebe McNeily, Mary Smothers, Nancy Cocks, Catherine Cocks, Amy Winters, and Elizabeth Wood, all my stock of cattle (being said stock which I have herein lent my wife) to be equally divided between my sd daughters after the death of my wife (or in case she should marry) to them & their heirs forever -
Also I give and bequeath to my son Caleb Winters the sum of ten dollars to be paid to him (or to his heirs) out of my estate by my Executrix hereafter names, to him & his heirs forever -
Also I give and bequeath to my son Moses Winters (on his attaining the age of twenty one years) a tract of land beginning forth poles above a cave spring on the west side of Caleb's tract (the spring being between my field & the mouth of said creek) running on east course until it comes to Ben'j Menee's land, then with his land to Sulphur Fork Creek, thence down sd creek to the mouth of Caleb Creek with the line to the beginning to him & his heirs forever and after the death of my wife Elizabeth Winters (or in the case she should marry) I also give and bequeath to my said son Moses Winters half the stock of Hogs, Horses, Household & Kitchen furniture & plantation Utensils (which I have herein lent my wife) to him & his heirs forever.
Also I give and bequeath to my son Aaron Winters after his attaining the age of Twenty one years , all the remaining part of my land and after the death of my wife Elizabeth Winter (or in case she should marry) I also give and bequeath to my said son Aaron Winters the other half of the stock of Hogs, Horses, Household & Kitchen furniture & plantation Utensils (which I have herein lent my wife) to him & his heirs forever-
Also what monies I have by me or due to me & etc. it is my will that my executrix hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be done and thereof to pay all my debts and the remainder (if any) I give to my wife Elizabeth Winters to use as nest' requires -
Lastly, I hereby constitute my loving wife Elizabeth Winters my whole & sole Executrix to this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking & disannulling all Wills by me heretofore made, ratifying, confirming & establishing this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this ninth day of July One Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Eight -

The above Will was proven in open Court Agreeable to Law by the Oath of William Flewellen a subscribing witness thereto -
