Know all men by these presents that I Major GREGORY of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee being in my right mind and senses do make this my last will and testament. In the first place I commend my soul to God and my body to be buried decently. In the next place I want my executors to pay all my just debts and then I give unto my wife Peggy all my land containing four hundred and fourteen acres with all the household and kitchen furniture, all my stock of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs, all my farming utensils, waggon and gear, also negro man named Jacob and a negro woman named Chancy, one negro girl named Zilpha. Jacob if he becomes disobedient so that my wife can't manage him I want my executors to hire him or sell him as they may think best if the others can't be governed by my wife I want them hired out for the benefit of the family this property I give to my wife during her life or widowhood she is at liberty to trade so as it is for the use of her family. My land at the death of my wife I want equally divided between my four youngest children viz., Josy, Judith, Mary and Jeremiah, these four children is to have a bed and furniture, if my wife marrys she is to have a child's part of my estate. My daughter Patsy, I give one negro boy named Anderson

worth two hundred dollars and one bed and furniture, also one saddle. To my daughter Sally I give one negro girl Louisa worth one hundred and seventy five dollars also one bed and furniture and one saddle worth fifteen dollars. Also to my daughter Milly I give one negro boy named Ely worth one hundred and fifty dollars also one bed and furniture and one saddle worth fifteen dollars, my four youngest children I want to have a common English education out of my estate my land that I gave to my four youngest children I consider to be worth three dollars. I want the balance of the property equally divided between all my children in proportion to what they have had at its valuation. I do leave my wife Peggy and Henry HART executors to this my last will and testament signed this 4th day of May 1830.
