In the name of God Amen. I William EDWARDS of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee being in perfect mind and mindful but knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. I will my soul to God my body to the dust as to the worldly goods which it hath pleased God to bestow on me in life my will and desire is that it should be disposed of in manner and form following,
First, I give to my wife Anna EDWARDS one black mare, one cow and calf, one feather bed and furniture her choice and I also leave my wife Anna EDWARDS one negro woman named Tabby and her child Presley during the natural life of my wife and after her death to be disposed of as hereafter noted.
Item, I give to my son Larkin EDWARDS one dollar.
Item, I give to my grandson Presley V. EDWARDS son of William V. EDWARDS, two dollars.
Item, I give my son Meredith W. EDWARDS one hundred & fifty acres of land it being all the land that was purchased of John DUNCAN also one featherbed.
Item, and as to the rest of my estate both real and personal I will that it be sold on a twelve month credit it is my will that the money after being listed be equally divided between my wife Anna EDWARDS, John EDWARDS, Gravet EDWARDS, Milly JERNIGAN,

Anna McCORLY and also the negro woman named Tabby and increase if any and child named Presley loaned to my wife after the death of my wife to be sold in a twelve month credit the money after collected to be equally divided between ___ EDWARDS, Gravet EDWARDS & Milly JERNIGAN and Anna McCORLEY and I also will that all I have given away in my life ___ shall continue therein without any mention hereafter.
Lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint John EDWARDS to be Executor of this my last will and testament Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the thirty first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two.

Robertson County Court May term 1836
The foregoing last will and testament of William EDWARDS was presented for probate and therefore came Stephen HERRING and David HERRING subscribing witnesses thereto he being first sworn depose and say that they were acquainted with William EDWARDS the testator that acknowledged the same in their presence to be his last will and testament, that he was in his proper mind and that they witnessed the same at this request it is therefore by the Court ordered to be recorded.
