         In the name of God Amen. I do publish and make this my last will and testament as follows, Knowing it is allotted for all men to die and being infirm with affliction but fully sound in both mind and memory, viz, first of all I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it, next I recommend my body to the grave to be buried in a decent manner, next I wish all my just debts to be paid, if I have any out of the sale of my perishable property, next to my son John I do give and bequeath a negro girl by the name of Rachel which is in his possession, next I give and bequeath to my son Greenberry one negro boy by the name of Bob which is in his possession, next I give and bequeath to my son Alexander one negro fellow by the name of Ned, next I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Morgan one woman by the name of Cherry which she has in her possession, next I do give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Walton a negro girl by the name of Polly which she has in her possession, next I do give and bequeath to my daughter Patsy Morgan one negro girl by the name of Selah, next I do give and bequeath to my son Robert B. Gordon one negro boy named Jack, next I do give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah one negro woman by the name of Cloe, also her child named Maria to her and her bodily heirs forever, next I give and bequeath to my son William Wesley Gordon one negro boy by the name of Lewis, next I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Chambers one negro woman by the

name of Sarah also it is my will for my executors to buy a negro girl about twelve or thirteen years of age on or before or within twelve months after my decease and give my said Rebecca Chambers to be paid out of the proceeds of the sale of my personal property which I wish to be sold at public auction at twelve months credit and equally divided amongst my heirs except such as I shall make further bequest of, viz, land and tenements which I now live on and in possession thereof I give and bequeath to my son Alexander Gordon and my daughter Sarah to be equally divided between them agreeable to land and quality also in addition to what I have given my daughter Sarah I give and bequeath to her two beds and furniture one stead, one chest, one large looking glass and one half dozen teaspoons, one small dressing table also I give and bequeath to my son Alexander Gordon one bed and furniture. Also in addition I give to my son William Wesley Gordon one bed and furniture. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal after appointing my executors, viz, my three sons Robert Boas Gordon, Alexander Gordon and William Wesley Gordon this the twenty third day of January 1830 in the presence of us
