Know all men by these presents that we Goodloe Warren & John Warren of the State of N. Carolina and Person County, do by these presents constitute & appoint our true & trusty friend Jas. Stuart of the State of Tennessee & Robertson County our good & lawful attorney to transact business for us and in our names as far as it respects a Judgment obtained by us against Wm. Downy which said Judgment was originally obtained in a Court in the state of Georgia and finally in the Court held for the District of Miro in the State of Tennessee, and we do herby impower him the said James in all legal measures as far as respects that business to act for us & in our names, to demand the benefit of land Judgments, to sue, or be (suday) and finally all things respecting Law Business to make use of our names as if we ourselves were present, which shall be held & deemed to be affected and valid in Law as if done & acted by ourselves. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this 27th day May in the year of our Lord 1801 -
